LIBRARY EVENTS AND PROGRAMS

 CHILDREN'S STORYTIME

Two Preschool Storytimes are provided on Thursday mornings. One begins at 10:00 to 10:30 and the other 11:00 to 11:30. Call 963-1339 for information.  

 SUMMER READING PROGRAM

Summer Reading Programs start the first full week after school lets out for the summer.  Anyone in the 6th grade or younger is invited to join. Children who are too young to read may participate by having books read to them.                                                

ADULT & FAMILY LITERACY CENTER

  Tuesdays-Wednesdays-Thursdays   541-962-1339

School Year Hours 1:00pm to 4:30pm . Check to see when fall hours begin. 

Summer Hours 11:00am to 2:00pm    Check to see when summer hours begin.

A place to enjoy learning, to check out games and educational materials, to work on computer programs in all levels of reading, math & other basic skills and to find help if needed.  Volunteer tutors are encouraged to apply.                                                                                

WORKSHOPS

Free workshops are provided by volunteers in the community on many Saturdays 10:00 to 12:00 from October through April. For a list of workshops, please view Library events calendar link.  

OUTREACH

The La Grande Public Library provides a weekly book reading to the Grande Ronde Retirement Residence.  Arrangements can be made to deliver books to housebound individuals in  La Grande.  Call 962-1339.
